Charity

The Australia Society Tokyo shares its time, talent and funds with the less fortunate in Japan, Australia and New Zealand. We raise money through auctions at our annual Australia Day ball and through the generous support of sponsors and individual members.

Last year we donated a total of JPY4,250,000 to the organisations supporting those affected by a number of natural disasters in the world last year; the Earthquakes in New Zealand and Japan as well as floods and cyclones in Queensland.

This year, proceeds raised at the ball will be given to OIG for aid.
They are a non-profit organization devoted to the rehabilitation of Minamisanriku in Tohoku.
